     On the eve of your departure from Wollombi, where for the past three years you have occupied the position as our Teacher, we desire to offer you a small momento in recognition of your kindness, and services rendered as our Teacher.
     We are fully satisfied that at all times your every endeavour was to impart a sound education to fit us for the battles of life, and while we regret your departure from our school, we are fully satisfied that our loss will be Bellbird's gain.
     Trusting the same good feeling will exist at Bellbird School, between Teacher and Pupils, as was always shown at Wollombi School during your term of office here.
     Wishing Mr. and Mrs. Gray and family, health, and prosperity in your future life.
