John Geddes - Drover

The following is from Drover's Post under "Early Businesnes of High St. Maitland"

Tracing family history of Geddes family - John Geddes married Margaretta Readman/Redman, John Geddes father name believed to be George. A newspaper search has led me to a George Geddes, a publican, High Street West Maitland, and an obituary of a Louisa Geddes wife of George Geddes, died at her residence.
.

To Forum members, I have aleady sent this info' to "Drover" but have posted it hoping there will be other's who can assist. [barry].

I had more info written out but then I realised Louisa can’t be the mother of John as according to a couple of site’s I have looked at John Walter Geddes was born in 1833.

The Louisa that died in 1870 I feel was Louisa Blinkhorne [Parents John & Mary], who married a George Geddes 1856. Louisa Blinkhorne arrived with her parents in 1853 and her estimated birth year was 1838 which is fairly consisted with the death notice of her dying 1870, in her 30th year.

I have seen a site [on Ancestry], which has Georges wife’s name as BRADY, I’m assuming that is a surname.

The article discusses a Robert Jones, 1845-1927 [Politician], who as it would appear worked for a John Geddess at Coonabarabran.
....Employed by John Geddes, Waterloo. Shearer, drover and station hand on East Orr's Garrawilla Station, Coonabarabran 1862 - 1866...

There was also a Geddes family around Warilda which could be connected, one of which was called John..
